who we are

Bethany Presbyterian Church is a small, 131-year-old congregation of our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a member of Salem Presbytery. We are a church family who care deeply for one another and seek to love all our neighbors. We are a place where mind and spirit are nourished, and where we affirm and celebrate the worth and dignity of every person. As we are all created in the image of God, we believe that discrimination and bigotry are incompatible with Christ’s Gospel of unconditional love. As a PC(USA) church, we affirm that God calls people of all races and genders into ministry and church leadership. While we celebrate our Presbyterian identity, we acknowledge that we are not alone on the path to understanding God. We invite conversations that move us to seek a deeper understanding of life in the spirit.
